President/Co-President

In charge of logistics, management, and planning. The president and co-president work closely with the communications, event  planning, and finance leaders to guarantee efficient operation of UWOB.

Communications Team

The main focus of the communications team is to promote UWOB across campus. This can be done in many ways including but not limited to : management of the club Instagram page, creation of promotional videos and or posts, in-person campaigning on campus, etc.

Events Planning Team

The event planning team is responsible for planning all events for UWOB. This includes but is not limited to : deciding on venues, themes, and activities for our scheduled events. The events planning team will work closely with the communications team to ensure that all scheduled events are appropriately promoted, and all information remains consistent.

Finance Team

The finance team is responsible for collecting donations from the student-body, conducting fundraising for scheduled events, and keeping track of all gathered donations. The finance team will work closely with the presidents, maintaining consistent communication regarding donations received. The finance team will also work closely with the events planning team so that all scheduled events can be ran successfully.

What is an executive/team position?

These positions work closely with the section (communications, EP, or finance) leader to provide assistance on current initiatives. These positions will work closely with their designated leader in groups of four as well as with the entire general membership. Executives are different from general members because they work directly with the leader and the presidents on current initiatives. Executives are expected to contribute and assist the leader of their section as well as work collaboratively as a team.

What is general membership?

General members of UWOB are not involved in the organizational aspects of the club. The role of a general member is to assist in selecting potential charities, and ideas for events/promotion. Essentially, the general members are the driving force behind UWOB. We want to support organizations that UTM students themselves are passionate about - the general members among themselves will discuss and brainstorm as a group, on behalf of the UTM student body.
